What it is

Masseter relaxation is a non-surgical treatment that involves small injections into the masseter muscle at the side of the jaw. It may help relax the muscle, which can reduce teeth grinding or clenching, and soften the appearance of a strong or square jawline.

What to expect

A consultation is required before treatment. Small amounts of botulinum toxin are injected into the masseter muscle.

The treatment is usually quick, with little downtime.

Results take 2–4 weeks to appear and are not permanent.
