What it is

Hyperhidrosis is simply excessive sweating. When used for treating hyperhisdrosis (underarm) Botulinum toxin works by blocking nerve signals from the brain to the sweat glands. This prevents the sweat glands from over-producing sweat, significantly reducing your symptoms.

What to expect

During a hyperhidrosis treatment session, a numbing cream is applied to the areas of the body intended for treatment before marking. Once the numbing cream has had time to take effect, botulinum toxin is administered.

The whole procedure should take around 30-45 (this includes 25 minutes numbing time) minutes in total, and there’s no recovery period required, so you can continue with regular daily routines right away!
